Even when we were dead in our tresspasses

Luke 3:22 ‘and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form, like a dove; and a voice came from heaven, “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.”

How can one describe God’s love? Is it conditional or unconditional love? When you may have sinned does that take you outside of the love of God? God’s love cannot be earned, it is his free gift. Ephesians 2:4-5 ‘But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ.’ God’s love is there for you, but the extent of embracing the richness of his love is in the offer of knowing and receiving Jesus. Does God say that there is a precondition to being loved? No, but experiencing the extent and fullness of God’s love is waiting for you when answering Jesus’s call in Mathew 11:28

‘Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.’’
