Pray without ceasing

Mathew 8:8 ‘I will come myself and cure him’ said Jesus. The centurion replied, ‘Sir, I am not worthy to have you under my roof; just give the word and my servant will be cured.’

A most beautiful Scripture, Jesus says I will come myself and cure him, the centurion who requested Jesus mercy and healing says just give the word and my servant will be cured. The centurion did not see the need for Jesus to physically come to his home, but just to give the word. Jesus says in Mathew 8:10 ‘I tell you solemnly, nowhere in Israel have I found faith like this’ Taking Jesus at his word – can you take Jesus at his word? Or do you need a physical visitation? One may consider so many reasons on why not to take Jesus at his word with seemingly convincing worldly examples. There is only one good reason to take Jesus at his word and that is your faith in the son of God. Faith may carry a call for perseverance in hope and prayer. 1 Thessalonians 5:16 ‘pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.’ Bless you.

Prayer. Holy Father, may your children appreciate your timing and commit more time to prayer. Please break the drought with life giving rain in the dry areas of South Africa and the world.
