Highway to salvation

Mathew 3:3 “Someone is shouting in the desert, ‘Prepare a road for the LORD; make a straight path for him to travel!’”

Why did John the Baptist choose a desert to proclaim for Jesus? Who builds roads in deserts? Who is there in the desert to listen? Where there seems desolation in your life – there is everything. The allegorical meaning of desert may well be in the perceived desert of your own heart or in the physical, the disregarded uninhabitable, inhospitable and unexplored. Where have you not traveled for Christ? The road that you create with tools of repentance, discipleship, peace, love, kindness and self-appreciation awaits.

Mark 1:4 ‘John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.’ The desert carries the lost. Isaiah 40:3 ‘A voice is calling, "Clear the way for the LORD in the wilderness; Make smooth in the desert a highway for our God.’ Bless you.
