Heartfelt prayer

Mark 7:6,7 ‘These people honour me with their lips but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain.’

Ritualistic prayer with a hard heart does not bring a fulfilled prayer life. Prayers need to come from a loving heart otherwise the prayers shall be as the Pharisees outwardly religious, but inwardly cold and self-serving. “How should I pray then?” Acts – A – is for adoration, C – is for confessing, T – is for thanksgiving, S – is supplication/asking/requesting. Adoration/praise, confessing and giving thanks will put you in the right heart space before God. Mathew 7:11 ‘….how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!’ May you feel the blessings of God over your life this new week.
