Zealous

Proverbs 23:17 ‘Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for fear of the LORD.’

Envy is covetous, it can be a zealous and self-destructive pursuit because in the world of self, enough is never enough. “But how can I always be zealous for fear of the LORD?” Zealous is defined as fervent, ardent, fervid, fiery, passionate, impassioned, devout, devoted. Fear of the LORD is a great gift because unwrapping that gift will guide you in your focus and weight your decisions. Our LORD is the God of togetherness, obedience to the Father brings a wonderful closeness. Fear in the eyes of the world carries punishment, fear of the LORD prevents separation from him. Proverbs 9:10 ‘The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.’ Bless you.
