Colossians 4:2 ‘Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.’
Devotion takes time and commitment, how much time are you devoting to prayer? Are your prayers daily, weekly, occasionally? What is also so beautiful in this Scripture is the close links of the journey of prayer….being watchful …..and thankful. Prayer gets answered, but often in ways that you do not expect. Another word for watchful could be expectant, taking it further, another word is your faith. Do you expect the LORD to act in your circumstances today? Our Father is ready and waiting to make a difference in your life; he does not want the word luck associated with his workings. How large are the gaps between your devotion to prayer…watchful ..and thankful in your life. You can pray with expectancy because our LORD is waiting to provide. Bless you.
Prayer. Holy Father, great and wonderful God, may we rise to your call of devotion.
