2 Corinthians 13:11 ‘Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.’
Can someone have the right answer but be unrighteous? Self- righteous people perceive that they have achieved righteousness often at the expense of loving. This is what the new covenant of Jesus brought to the world, a move away from codified legalism of the Old testament. Being challenged by someone quoting Scripture or a church rule in the interests of proclamation often can achieve the opposite effect – breeding discord. The beautiful Scripture above calls for agreement, “What about the truth?” The question is will loving someone say more to someone than being arguably so right with words and rules? Bless you.
