Seeing through the drought

John 15:4 ‘Remain united to me and I will remain united to you.’

Examining some plants in this incessant heat and drought in South Africa shows some perfectly formed plants allow a shoot/ branch to die for the whole plant to be sustained. How does the plant choose which branch or leaves to forfeit? Are there branches in your life that are limiting you spiritually? Acknowledging areas in which to change is a first step. Mathew 5:3 ‘Happy are those who know they are spiritually poor; the Kingdom of heaven belongs to them.’ Jesus will not force himself on anyone, please choose to remain united with him. Bless you.

Prayer. Gracious God and King of all creation, thank you for your grace and mercy on offer for humanity.
