John : 19:25 ‘Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother, his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene’
You may be in a turbulent river with many challenges around you, gasping for spiritual air. As the circumstances carry you downstream through the rapids you put your hand up and feel a strong squared piece of wood suspended over the river which you hold onto. As you climb exhausted onto the wood you discover that it is wood that has been cut into a specific shape, you crawl along the wood, a protruding nail cuts into your skin, wooden splinters penetrate your hand, you lie breathless with arms outstretched in the sun. You hear the voice of the Good Shepherd who comes up to the cross you are lying on and says, “My child, I have been there, your pain is temporary, come into your rest.” Bless you.
