No offense from Jesus

Luke 7:23 ‘And blessed is the one who takes no offense at me.’

If you had a choice of comfort and security today or a future guarantee of comfort and security and more….tomorrow and thereafter, which one would it be? Denying ourselves today gives a better tomorrow. “How do I know that?” may be the thinking. The Christ has spoken a clear message in Mathew 16:24 ‘Then Jesus said to his disciples, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” It may be reasoned, “What is wrong with comfort?” or “Isn’t discipleship only for Biblical times?” Discipleship is for all followers of Jesus, our faith is one of action and service, we are reminded in James 2:17 ‘In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.’ Jesus commands us before going to heaven Mathew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.’ You can change this world one day at a time. Bless you.
