Friends of God

2 Corinthians 5:18 ‘..who through Christ changed us from enemies into his friends and gave us the task of making others his friends also.’

Our Father, our friend, our LORD, our King. Our God calls us his friends, not lowly vassals subservient to his kingship. The sin within us was the enemy of God; friendship has many wonderful qualities -welcoming, listening, understanding, encouraging, caring…… One of the wonderful qualities of friendship is reciprocation – showing appreciation in action to another for kindness given or similar. Our LORD has given, in what way are we reciprocating our LORD’s gift of life given so freely? How are we winning friends for our Father? We have all been given many gifts, one of these is the gift of time; how will you and I spend this gift? Bless you.

Prayer. Holy Father, let your light within us radiate out onto others to bring in a mighty harvest for your glory.
