Mathew 2:13 ‘”Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt.”

Joseph was warned by an angel of the LORD that Herod wanted to kill Jesus. Why did the angel refer to Jesus as a child and not LORD? Secondly why Egypt? Jesus had not reached his potential, there had to be a journey, at birth Jesus was referred to as the Christ, the King of the Jews – his destiny was clear. As Jesus matured Luke 2:52 ‘And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.’ Our LORD Jesus grew as well. We must all take a spiritual journey of growth. Are we resisting the call of God’s messenger angels deep within our heart. Will we forever remain a spiritual child?Seek and understand your destiny in the quietest undistracted space and that you can find. There is always higher purpose. Do you know yours? Bless you.

Prayer. Holy Father, may we never reside in an escape to Egypt, but understand our journey.
