Galatians 5 v 13: ‘ You, my brothers were called to be free.’

– what is freedom?A covenant/commitment relationship with God some may say.. ”I can’t do this is or that, get drunk, be promiscuous and ….all these rules” Some could argue that Christian faith is then restrictive. Is it not rather how we look at a covenant(commitment) relationship with God …..restricting or liberating. If we look at our relationship with God, we are liberated to enjoy love, joy, kindness, God’s purpose, faith, hope, humility, peace and patience. These guides from God are also to protect us from the sinful nature as there is a price to sin – unhappiness, little peace………..possibly no salvation for those who do not repent. We must choose either instant gratification of the sinful nature or submission to God and enjoy his way, and what a special way it is with God.

Prayer: Holy Lord we pray that we may be liberated in love, joy, peace and all the fruits of your precious Holy Spirit.
