The walk of the pharisees?

Mark 2:18 ‘On one occasion the followers of John the Baptist and the Pharisees were fasting.’

The Pharisees gave a tenth of their earnings to the temple, they prayed to God, they worshipped at the temple, they fasted. Why then were they condemned by Jesus? Simply put the Pharisees looked at the external image that they presented but their hearts were not committed to God. Do we do the same as the Pharisees? Mathew 5:20 ‘For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.’ How committed is your heart to God? Proverbs 23:26 ‘My son, give me your heart and let your eyes keep to my ways.’ Good brothers and sisters we need to earnestly seek our LORD in humility, reconcile your heart to Jesus in prayer, repentance and service. Bless you.

Prayer. Holy LORD, show us your righteous way.
