Can you convict someone’s heart on faith?

1 Corinthians 13:2 ‘if I have all faith as to move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing’

Jesus gives us the key to discipleship – loving others. One may win an argument with sound reasoning about faith, religion, other, but will one win over change in another person’s heart and assist life on the journey to salvation? We read further in 1 Corinthians13: 4,5 ‘Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests……’ Nowhere in holy Scripture are we instructed to be argumentative about our faith. We can win others over by prayer, fasting, loving them and by the example we set in the way we live. In love we will create fertile ground for the holy Spirit to convict someone’s heart. Listen to and encourage others. What if we know that we are right? Pray for wisdom on when to speak. Those feeling loved are far more receptive to receiving perspectives on faith than being prescribed to in words only. God bless you.

Prayer. Holy Father, please teach us how to be good disciples. Please heal and restore Teena, Ingrid, Debra, Trish, Kevin, Michelle, Pedro, Charlotte, Chad, Anton, Mary, Fr Stanley, Nicky, Lidia, Tony, baby Mia, Kathry, Michael, Brandon, Mark and Peter. Amen.
