God’s strength

Ephesians 4:14 ‘…to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner self’

All actions start with a thought, if the ‘inner self’ is not strong, then God centred lifestyle and actions will not follow. We read about the holy Spirit, but do we really know God’s Spirit who plays such an important part in our lives? Zechariah 4:6 ‘Not by an army, nor by might , but by my spirit, says the LORD of hosts.’ Vatican II the Pope said ‘Open the windows and let the holy Spirit in.’ The windows here are our hearts and lives. One may reason, “Not for me, just doesn’t fit my mould of what Catholicism is all about.” We can choose, do we base our walk with God on opinions or on the Word of God and the holy Church. How do we invite the workings of God’s Spirit in our lives? Jesus guides us in Mathew 7:7 “Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find…’ We are reminded in Galatians 5:22 ‘..the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.’ Come and enjoy the fruit at the table of life with Christ.
