A time to plant

Mark 5:26 ‘This is how it is with the kingdom of God it is as if a man were to scatter seed on the land …and the seed would sprout and grow , he knows not how.’

The wonderful kingdom of God is just an end destination, it is living and growing and relies on you and I to plant and harvest for our LORD. “What should we plant and how?” Kindness, righteousness, goodness, compassion, love, obedience to God, service to others……we are guided in 2 Timothy 4:2 ‘…be persistent whether it is convenient or inconvenient’ and we are encouraged in Galatians 6:7,9 ‘Make no mistake: God is not mocked a for a person will reap only what he sows….. Let us not grow tired of doing good.’ Good brothers and sisters cast that poor seed away through the Sacrament of Reconciliation – confession. Tell our LORD I am ready in service to you Father….there is much joy awaiting the planters and harvesters. May God bless you with mighty seed and a wonderful harvest for his glory.

Prayer. Holy Father our great and wonderful LORD, we pray for fertile hearts in those we come into contact with, receptive to your seed. May our words and actions reflect Jesus. Please heal and restore Debra, Trish, Kevin, Michelle, Pedro, Gill, Charlotte, Chad, Mary, Fr Stanley, Lidia and baby Mia. Amen.

Note: A request for those who live in Johannesburg there is a bakery Not Bread Alone at 63 Malibongwe drive Randburg that faithfully supplies our feeding ministry for the homeless every week. Please consider supporting them as in turn you will be supporting St Vincent de Paul society of St Charles. The bakery offers pies, pastries, confectionary and platters. Thank you.
