Power of speech?

Mathew 15:10 ‘Jesus said “Listen and understand. What goes into a man’s mouth does not make him unclean, but what goes out of his mouth, that is what makes him unclean”

With the same tongue that we praise our LORD, we can curse and utter profanities. In James 3:8 ‘but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil full of deadly poison’……Only our LORD can tame the tongue, we can ask today how much time are we spending in prayer, praise and thanksgiving to God? When we submit to God, then the tongue submits. When the call of Jesus is greater than this world’s calling, then our words come to reflect Jesus. Time spent in the word of God will enable our living, not to dogmatically judge “The Bible says,” but rather as St Francis wrote “Preach the Gospel everywhere and only when you have to, then use words”…………the actions of love.

Prayer. Holy LORD, we pray for peace in all brothers and sisters homes today, may all have a blessed heritage day. Amen.
