Mathew 26:39 ‘Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed…..Yet not as I will, but as you will’ –JESUS praying in Gethsemane.
JESUS was at the most critical stage of his earthly ministry, his will was questioning as seen in his prayers “not as I will.” We can only imagine if JESUS in the flesh rejected GOD’s will and was not crucified, we would not have a path to salvation. We can ask today –are there critical choices that we have to make? Is our will acting contrary to GOD’s will? In our quiet times we can ask GOD, “not as I will but as you will” our LORD will reveal his will to us. The Good Shepherd will lead you through those choices….when you truly seek him. We must journey through adversity, we will grow and strengthen spiritually.
Prayer. Holy and merciful Father, we ask that you will guide and strengthen us all according to your will, thank you for your abundant love over us. Amen
