Jeremiah 23 : 38 “Is not my word like fire,” declares the LORD.
Does the word of God, Holy Scripture, ignite us? Do we seek out this spiritual warmth each day? A commitment at 5.00/6.00am daily, to hear God speak to us through Holy Scripture- his words are alive, a quiet time in prayer, or does a discussion with our Father in heaven purely take place on a needs basis, especially when there is a crisis? How does that make our LORD feel….forgotten? Perhaps GOD may question “Does this person really love me?” or “am I purely a convenience?” We can be assured that GOD is living and his words are powerful, we can be illuminated with the fire of his words. JEREMIAH 29 : 11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Prosperity can be part of our journey, but not the end in itself, nor our god. Our Father has plans for us, let us be willing vessels of light for him so that his plans can come to fruition.
Prayer. Holy Lord we pray that our hearts will soften and that the fire of your words will radiate through us, that we can celebrate life according to your will. Amen.
