Using our gift

Colossians 4 : 2 ‘Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful’

If you or I receive a wonderful gift that has so many practical uses, we would surely not put it away and only get a two percent benefit from it. We are given this wonderful gift of prayer from our Lord …do we truly spend time using that gift? Or do we only engage in prayer in dire need? Devoting is a commitment, that is why the Rosary is such a beautiful devotion in prayer, it is a commitment. Obedience in prayer leads to holiness.

Prayer. Holy Father, please bless the prayer time of each person reading this devotion, that this time spent grows their relationship with you, that the prayer time is balanced with praise for you, confession, thanksgiving and asking for needs to be met. Let the great benefit of prayer be unharnessed in all our lives. Amen

Note. For men of the church Rosary at St Charles church hall 6.15pm for 6.30pm this evening Thursday 20th June. Come and celebrate in prayer.
